Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask River Road). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Dalhart Wolves  a   23-0 shutout  on Tuesday. The  win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on eight straight.
 Carol Koval was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those  13  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Emma Kilman and  Ava Sharp did most of the damage at the plate:  Kilman  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI, while  Sharp  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs.  Isela Delgado was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 River Road  lost a few balls and  finished the game with four  home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  launched at least two  home runs in four consecutive  games.
River Road's victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 20-9. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dalhart, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record  this season.
 River Road will face off against Tulia at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on  a  12-game losing streak. As for Dalhart, they will square off against Canadian at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
