Softball Game Preview: Bridgeland Bears vs. Cypress Ranch Mustangs

Bridgeland has won six straight games at home, while Cypress Ranch has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Bears will host the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bridgeland 4, Cypress Ranch 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Cypress Ranch's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Bridgeland hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Bears never let Cypress Lakes get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Friday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cypress Ranch hadn't done well against Cypress Woods recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Wildcats. The game was the first time the Mustangs have beaten the Wildcats on their field since April 12, 2022.

Cypress Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Bridgeland, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
