Softball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds, falling 24-9. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sloan-Hendrix, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Greyhounds beat Marshall by a score of 25-9 later that day.
