            Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Eagles vs. Tabernacle Torches        
        
		
        
        
            Cornerstone Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Tabernacle Torches with a sharp  15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Colby Harrison made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Harrison was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. He has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  RBI the last three times he's  played.
 In other batting news, Cornerstone Christian let  Gage Donaldson and  Jake Smith run wild. Donaldson  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI, while  Smith  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.  J.R. Monroe was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.

 Cornerstone Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .560. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in April of 2024.
Cornerstone Christian pushed their record up to 9-1 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Tabernacle,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian will welcome Southern Christian  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Tabernacle, they will host Tuscaloosa Home Educators  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
