Softball Recap: Biddeford Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Biddeford). They blew past the Noble Knights 16-1 on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Madi Roy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Biddeford let Corinne Ramunno and Ayla Lagasse run wild. Ramunno went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Lagasse went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Ramunno has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mariah Villandry, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Biddeford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Biddeford's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Noble, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
