Softball Recap: Oxford Comes Up Short

Oxford lost against DeSoto Central two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chargers lost 14-0 to the Jaguars. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for DeSoto Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxford will challenge Mantachie at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for DeSoto Central, they will host Lake Cormorant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
