Baseball Recap: Silver Comes Up Short

Silver lost against Cobre last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Silver fell just short of Cobre by a score of 5-4. The Fighting Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Silver saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Bennett, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Bennett a new career-high.

Silver's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Cobre, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Coming up, Cobre will take on Portales at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Silver will be paying especially close attention to Cobre's matchup: after Cobre faces off against Portales, they'll take on Silver again at 6:00 p.m. on April 7.
