Preview: Crofton Warriors vs. Norfolk Catholic Knights

Crofton is 1-9 against Norfolk Catholic since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Both teams will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Crofton lost to Wausa at home by a decisive 44-30 margin.

Crofton got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Seth Pinkelman and Blayke Skillings, who each put up six points.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Boys Town by a score of 55-53. Norfolk Catholic found out winning isn't easy when you make five fewer threes than your opponent.

Norfolk Catholic might have lost, but man, Nolan Fennessy was a machine: he scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Carter Janssen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Crofton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Norfolk Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
