Soccer Recap: Venice Takes a Loss

Venice was the 2-0 winner over Braden River when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Venice Indians might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Braden River Pirates an easy 5-0 win.

Venice's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-3. As for Braden River, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0-4.

Venice and Braden River should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Venice (ranked 101st) will meet Gulf Coast (ranked 289th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Braden River will face off against Carrollwood Day at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday up 280 places (49 vs. 329).
