West Salem had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 26-16 win over the Sprague Olympians. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 48-35 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Sprague still got an impressive performance from Carter Lovell, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD, and also threw for 172 yards and one touchdown.

Sprague's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

West Salem has already played their next matchup, a 29-14 victory against Sheldon on the 12th. As for Sprague, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 55-21 win against North Medford on the 12th.
