Softball Game Preview: Littlestown Thunderbolts vs. Susquehannock Warriors

The Littlestown Thunderbolts will square off against the Susquehannock Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Littlestown's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Biglerville. The victory was nothing new for the Thunderbolts as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Susquehannock got the win against West York Area on Wednesday by a conclusive 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Ella Wetzel was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Callie Shue was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Michelle Morris was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.

Susquehannock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West York Area only managed one.

Susquehannock's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Littlestown, their win bumped their record up to 16-1.
