Basketball Recap: Littleton Piles Up the Points Against Englewood

There's no place like home for Littleton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Englewood Pirates 62-6 on Tuesday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 51 point advantage.

It was another big night for Emma Bird, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Vicky Whitney, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Littleton was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Englewood only posted one assist.

The victory got Littleton back to even at 2-2. As for Englewood, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Littleton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-40 loss against Thomas Jefferson on the 12th. As for Englewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-28 defeat against Lincoln on the 12th.
