Immaculate is 0-10 against Masuk since May of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Mustangs will challenge the Panthers at 4:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Immaculate will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Kolbe-Cathedral on Wednesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 13-1 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Maddie Costa made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Laurel Pucci, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Caroline Murray was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Immaculate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kolbe-Cathedral only posted an OBP of .211.
Masuk came out on top against Harding on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Panthers never let the Presidents get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Grace Ely made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Ely was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Masuk got a massive performance out of Izzy Debernardo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mary Saunders, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Immaculate's record is now 3-7. As for Masuk, their record now sits at 11-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Immaculate has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Masuk struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Immaculate couldn't quite finish off Masuk in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 and fell 8-6. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
