Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pasadena Memorial). Everything went their way against the Alvin Yellowjackets on Tuesday as the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks made off with an 8-2 victory. This was payback for the Mavericks, who suffered a 9-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pasadena Memorial's win bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Alvin, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7-2.

Looking ahead, Pasadena Memorial is taking a road trip to face off against Manvel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alvin, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Shadow Creek at 7:30 p.m. Shadow Creek will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Alvin surely won't give up without a fight.
