Softball Recap: Conneaut Area Comes Up Short

Conneaut Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 5-2 to the Fairview Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 back in April.

Conneaut Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Fuller, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Riley Miller also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Conneaut Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Conneaut Area will challenge rival Corry at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fairview is set to square off against their familiar foe Girard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
