Baseball Recap: Valencia Takes a Loss

Valencia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Belen Eagles, falling 11-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Pryce Henry was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Valencia's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-2 (and 4-10 when he doesn't).

Valencia's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Belen, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
