Basketball Game Preview: Lometa Hornets vs. Richland Springs Coyotes

Lometa is 1-7 against Richland Springs since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lometa Hornets will square off against the Richland Springs Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lometa is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season last Friday. They took a blow against Zephyr, falling 59-16.

Meanwhile, Richland Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Hamilton, falling 46-22.

Richland Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lometa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Lometa was dealt a bruising 87-22 loss at the hands of Richland Springs in their previous matchup back in February. Can Lometa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
