Emmett was the 35-14 winner over Columbia when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies lost 34-14 to the Wildcats on Thursday. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Emmett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Eli Brennan rushed for 131 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also threw for 41 yards and one touchdown. Those 131 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Brennan.
