Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Takes Down Eureka in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Pleasanton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Eureka Tornadoes by a score of 74-67 on Thursday. The Blu-Jays' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyson Coon, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards. Coon's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Laken Valentine was another key player, putting up 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Pleasanton now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Eureka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

As of now, neither Pleasanton nor Eureka have any future games scheduled.
