Basketball Recap: Nicollet Skates Past Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart with Ease

There's no place like home for Nicollet, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs 63-31. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Nicollet's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nicollet and Loyola will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Loyola knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Nicollet likes a good challenge. As for Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cedar Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Mountain will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart surely won't give up without a fight.
