Soccer Game Preview: Bleckley County vs. Dodge County

The Bleckley County Royals will venture away from home to square off against the Dodge County Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Dooly County who was credited with the win on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bleckley County came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Dooly County are ranked 315th).

Dodge County will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Toombs County, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Dodge County who was credited with the victory on Friday. Dodge County got it done in the shootout by posting two goals to Toombs County's one.

Bleckley County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Dodge County, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Bleckley County suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Dodge County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Bleckley County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
