Eldon has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Mountain Grove Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Eldon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Warsaw 78-60. Given Eldon's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Warsaw is ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Mountain Grove made easy work of Mansfield on Friday and carried off a 84-63 win. That looming 84-63 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mountain Grove yet this season.
Eldon's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mountain Grove, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
