Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). They took their match on Monday with ease, bagging a 72-41 victory over the Western Wayne Wildcats. With the Chiefs ahead 41-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Lakeland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Naniewicz out in front who went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Kutchmanich, who posted ten points and five assists.

Lakeland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive contests.

Lakeland's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-8. As for Western Wayne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
