Basketball Game Preview: Pinewood Christian Patriots vs. Frederica Academy

The Pinewood Christian Patriots will challenge Frederica Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pinewood Christian is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Pinewood Christian ended up a good deal behind Brentwood and lost 76-61. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the War Eagles are ranked 185th).

Despite the loss, Pinewood Christian got top-tier performance from Banks Hearn, who posted 30 points. That was a full 49.2% of Pinewood Christian's points, marking the 21st time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Kinlaw, who earned 15 points.

Meanwhile, Frederica Academy slipped by Westminster Schools of Augusta 51-50 on Thursday.

Pinewood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Frederica Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Pinewood Christian was taken down by Frederica Academy 65-35 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Pinewood Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
