Softball Game Preview: Calvert Senecas vs. Old Fort Stockaders

The Calvert Senecas will face off against the Old Fort Stockaders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Calvert's favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home while Old Fort has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

On Friday, Calvert came up short against Danbury and fell 6-3.

Calvert saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison King, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Alyssa Rishty was another, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Old Fort also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to New Riegel by a score of 7-3.

Abbi Ward was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Old Fort, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Calvert took their win against Old Fort in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 15-1 score. Do the Senecas have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stockaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
