Basketball Preview: Brookfield Bobcats vs. Immaculate Mustangs
The Brookfield Bobcats will be playing at home against the Immaculate Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Thursday, Brookfield didn't have too much trouble with the Red Devils at home as they won 73-58. The victory was just what Brookfield needed coming off of a 76-47 defeat in their prior game.
Shane Weber was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Brookfield's points. Another player making a difference was Josh Merchant, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Immaculate unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 85-65 walloping at the hands of Bunnell. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (61), Immaculate still had to take the loss.
Brookfield's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Immaculate, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
