Volleyball Recap: Gregory-Portland's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Gregory-Portland entered their tilt with Marshall on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rams. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Lily Edwards paced Gregory-Portland's offense, picking up eight kills. Edwards got some help from Kloey Cantu and her 28 assists. Sophia Davila controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Gregory-Portland's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Marshall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Gregory-Portland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Canyon Lake on the 30th. As for Marshall, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Devine on the 30th.
