Basketball Game Preview: Ferndale Yellow Jackets vs. Harmony Area Owls

The Ferndale Yellow Jackets will challenge the Harmony Area Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ferndale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Harmony Area likes a good challenge.

Ferndale is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Conemaugh Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a hard 71-57 fall against the Blue Jays. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Yellow Jackets still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Harmony Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 46-43 to Purchase Line, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Ferndale's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Harmony Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Ferndale took their win against Harmony Area in their previous matchup on Tuesday by a conclusive 58-34. Does Ferndale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harmony Area turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
