York came tearing into Friday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Seward Bluejays with points to spare, taking the game 47-33. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-29 two weeks ago.

Leading York to victory were Chloe Koch and Kinslee Kern. Koch went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points and five steals, while Kern went 6-for-13 on her way to 15 points and three steals. Koch is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Murfee Nickels was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

York smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

York pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points over those games. As for Seward, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York will take on Standing Bear at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seward, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbus will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Seward surely won't give up without a fight.
