Soccer Game Preview: Childersburg vs. Donoho

Childersburg hasn't had much luck against Donoho recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will square off against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Childersburg took on Weaver on Tuesday. The Tigers never let the Bearcats get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Donoho strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Temple by a score of 4-2. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Donoho's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 36th in Alabama, while Temple are ranked 259th in Georgia).

Donoho hit Temple with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from ANNA KATE WALLACE (2), BROOKE VANDIBER, and KATELYN MCMORRIS.

Childersburg's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Donoho, they pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Childersburg might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Donoho in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
