Basketball Recap: Lake Pointe Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Westgate Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Pointe Academy). They claimed a resounding 84-29 win over the Westgate Christian Eagles. The Mariners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

James Jacobs continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 23 points. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Keagan Hiser was another key player, posting 15 points.

The victory (which was Lake Pointe Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Westgate Christian, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Lake Pointe Academy will challenge Union Christian Day at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westgate Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Temple Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
