Volleyball Recap: Hickory Flat Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hickory Flat was the 3-2 winner over West Union when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels fell 3-1 to the Eagles on Tuesday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 20-25, 25-18.

West Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Leflore led the charge by getting 11 digs and two aces. Leflore is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Roaten, who had 17 digs and two aces.

Hickory Flat's loss dropped their record down to 7-14-1. As for West Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-14-1.

Hickory Flat has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Potts Camp on the 25th. As for West Union, they will square off against South Pontotoc at 6:30 p.m. on October 2.
