Softball Recap: Palmetto Gets the Win

While Palmetto's win against Riverview Sarasota wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Rams on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Rams on their field since April 13, 2023.

The team relied heavily on Caliee Seegers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Maria Michaels, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Palmetto hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters in four consecutive contests.

Palmetto's record is now 7-3. As for Riverview Sarasota, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Palmetto will head out on the road to challenge Braden River at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverview Sarasota, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bayshore at 7:00 p.m.
