Volleyball Recap: Mandeville Takes a Loss

Mandeville lost against Mt. Carmel back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Skippers came up short against the Cubs, falling 3-0. The Skippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-5.

Soraya Amorajabi paced Mandeville's offense, picking up ten kills. Amorajabi got some help from Julia Marengo and her six assists.

Mia Lopez was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last five matchups.

Mandeville's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mt. Carmel, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Mandeville has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Northlake Christian on the 25th. As for Mt. Carmel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against St. Joseph's Academy on the 25th.
