After a string of six wins, Hilliard's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a blow against the Providence School Stallions, falling 64-33. The Red Flashes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-10.

Despite the loss, Hilliard still got an impressive performance from Molly Dean, who posted 13 points.

Providence School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasey Davey, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 14 points and seven rebounds. Davey has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Janie Boyd, who went 8 for 12 en route to 20 points and three steals.

Hilliard's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Providence School, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Hilliard has already played their next game, a 67-55 loss against Charlton County on the 25th. As for Providence School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-43 victory against Tocoi Creek on the 27th.
