Gunderson dropped their record down to 11-9 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Creek Raiders. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Grizzlies were not able to get on the board.

Gunderson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Lucero, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Lucero is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

As for Silver Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs.

On Silver Creek's side, Giovanni Mejia made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave Mejia a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Saxton Sinatra, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cayleb Duran, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

While Gunderson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
