West Seattle is 2-8 against Garfield since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. West Seattle will face off against Garfield at 4:00 p.m. West Seattle will be strutting in after a victory while Garfield will be coming in after a loss.
West Seattle not only won last Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024 (when they won 23-1). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Ingraham a 15-0 shutout. West Seattle hasn't had any issues with Ingraham recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Daeja Piggee and Kaila Ignacio were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Piggee struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Ignacio tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Piggee went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Ignacio went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave Piggee a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mackenzie Curry Uzwack, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Lefkowitz, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Garfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 13-3 to the Vikings on Tuesday.
Jordana King made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
West Seattle's record is now 6-12. As for Garfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.
West Seattle suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to Garfield in their previous meeting back in April. Can West Seattle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
