Volleyball Game Preview: Casa Roble Rams vs. Sutter Huskies

Casa Roble has not had much luck against Sutter over the past three seasons, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Huskies at 6:30 p.m.

On Monday, Casa Roble didn't have quite enough to beat Dixon and fell 3-2. While Casa Roble didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Dixon 25-19 in the first set.

Casa Roble started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final set scores came out to 19-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-13, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Sutter had already won 13 in a row and they went ahead and made it 14 on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions.

Sutter not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Destiny Christian Academy between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.

Casa Roble has now lost three of their last four games at home. That's taken a bite out of their 7-9 record this season. As for Sutter, their win bumped their record up to 30-5.

Casa Roble might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they suffered at the hands of Sutter when the teams last played on September 28th. Can the Rams avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll have the answer soon enough.
