Marquette is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Mill Valley. The Mustangs fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Marquette started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 28-30, 25-20, 25-17.

Teagan Pocius paced Marquette's offense, picking up 11 kills. Pocius got some help from Maggie Smith and her 17 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
