Softball Recap: Yale Takes a Loss

Yale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Imlay City Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Yale's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Imlay City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Yale is taking a road trip to take on Regina at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Imlay City, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Our Lady of the Lakes at 4:00 p.m. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
