Cobre waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Hatch Valley Bears 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jesus Lopez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Cobre's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Ortiz, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Cobre always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are 8-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Cobre's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Hatch Valley, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
