Basketball Recap: Inter-Lakes Takes a Loss

Inter-Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the White Mountains Spartans and fell 75-44. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-17 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Inter-Lakes lost, don't look at Riley Anderson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. Those 21 points gave Anderson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily Doda, who posted four points.

Even though they lost, Inter-Lakes smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Inter-Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for White Mountains, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Inter-Lakes and Newfound Regional will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for White Mountains, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prospect Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
