Baseball Game Preview: Hancock Eagles vs. Oak Forest Bengals

The Hancock Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Oak Forest Bengals at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hancock hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Shepard hit Hancock with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 11-1 to the Astros. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Hancock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alejandro Porras, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Oak Forest unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 6-2 to Andrew.

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Oak Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 21-12-1.

Hancock might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Oak Forest when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
