St. Paul has no trouble against Cherryvale

The St. Paul Indians can finally bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-51 victory over Cherryvale. St. Paul's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cherryvale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Fox, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Fox hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Bricen Raida was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.

St. Paul's win bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Cherryvale, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

St. Paul will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Humboldt at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Humboldt will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Cherryvale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Yates Center at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Yates Center comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
