Frankfort is still winless after their match against Winamac on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Winamac Warriors. One positive for the Hot Dogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Several Hot Dogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was RJ Cornman, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Cornman is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Taran Emery, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points.

Winamac's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will Malchow, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds. Justin Potthoff was another key player, going 8 of 12 on his way to 17 points.

Frankfort's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Winamac, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Frankfort has already played their next game, a 55-48 win against North Newton on the 2nd. As for Winamac, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-50 defeat against Rossville on the 2nd.
