Softball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

Southside lost against Pamlico County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seahawks came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 13-1.

Southside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily McLean, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. McLean has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 11 times she's played.

Southside now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Pamlico County, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

While Southside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
