Softball Preview: Alden Bulldogs vs. Tonawanda Warriors
The Tonawanda Warriors will hit the road to start this year's campaign against the Alden Bulldogs. First pitch is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Tonawanda had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Pioneer by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. After an 18-17 finish the last time they played, Tonawanda and Pioneer decided to play a little more cautiously this time around.
Tonawanda are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-1. As for Alden, they've got a clean slate. Last season, they had a phenomenal run, finishing with a superb 17-2 record.
Alden came out on top in a nail-biter against Tonawanda in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, sneaking past 5-4. Does Alden have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tonawanda turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
