Basketball Game Preview: Union Parish Farmers vs. Ringgold Redskins

The Union Parish Farmers will venture away from home to square off against the Ringgold Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Union Parish's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.

Last Saturday, Union Parish didn't have too much trouble with Sterlington as they won 74-60. The win was all the more spectacular given the Farmers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Panthers are ranked 74th).

Meanwhile, Ringgold didn't have quite enough to beat Airline on Friday and fell 55-52.

Union Parish's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Ringgold, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Everything came up roses for Union Parish against Ringgold when the teams last played back in January of 2021, as the squad secured a 66-37 win. Will Union Parish repeat their success, or does Ringgold have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
