Softball Recap: Tarpon Springs Wins Going Away Against Indian Rocks Christian

Tarpon Springs picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles. The Spongers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by six runs or more this season.

Paige Viegut was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Lily Gehring was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.

Tarpon Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Tarpon Springs has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 18.3 runs. Indian Rocks Christian is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
