Softball Recap: Pasco Pirates vs. Central Bears

There's no place like home for Pasco, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Bears 4-3 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-1 back in March.

Abigail Grubbs made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pasco will face off against Gulf at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central, they will take on Lecanto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
